What pedals do you use? Why?

With all the hoopla of horsepower, lip kits, wheels and coilovers, pedals are rarely mentioned. Did Honda do such a great job with stock pedals that nobody goes after market? Folks here have spent thousands of $ on their car and use the stock pedals. I'm curious.
I like my Honda oem pedals. My old Mustang had Mr. Gasket pedals. I liked them too.
The oem pedals work fine with wet shoes and barefoot. The old Mr Gasket's not so fine.
I'm thinking of using some Mugen, Autovation, NRG etc pedals but am curious if their convex shape would cause issues with it's unfamiliar shape.
So the question goes out. What pedals do you use and why?

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

i use stock, but the only other prelude around me, which is owned by another member on here has the stock rubber taken off the pedals and has grip tape in its place. its pretty nice.

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

I've never driven a Prelude with stock pedals. Mine came with OBX pedal covers.... and honestly, they suck when wet.

Considered getting rid of them, but that requires starting another project XD

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

Lmao..true.. true..
I ended up buying some mugen.. kinda pricey..
The metal mesh of the clutch/brake pedals got my attention. Should be wet shoe/barefoot friendly.

My 91 has grip tape..

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

I had Mugen pedals in my last Prelude and the sucked when they got wet. I have OEM pedals in my current Prelude and I've never had a problem with them.

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

That's an interesting point, Mike. I have actually NEVER replaced pedals on any of my vehicles. O.o

I do like your pedal choice. Perhaps get a pedicure of sorts while driving barefoot? :P

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

I have had the same set of Mugen pedals since '05, been in two Preludes. Mine worked fine when wet. I had them in my Fit as well.

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

Bully SUV A/T pedals. They haven't moved yet.

Never had a manual with anything than OEM. Will definitely go skater grip tape when it happens. The simplicity is so fuggin great. Look up eludeauthority's DIY.

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

Hardy har har.. and you use the gas pedal to go?

My 91 got safety tape instead of skateboard tape. Same material but glue on the safety tape is way less pita to remove. Grip tape wears out eventually.

Sounds like the mugens will outlast the car..

To my wife i leave the house, the cat, etc..
To my kids i leave the computer, the mugens etc..

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

Car came with razo pedals, I think they look nice and pedals are huge but feet do slip.. Might take them off just to feel oem pedals .

People tell me if the pedals are to big the harder to heel and toe ?

Re: What pedals do you use? Why?

The heel to toe is harder if the pedals are installed incorrectly. Those little anchor tabs should be a horror puzzle from "SAW"

(SAW voice) install these tabs barehanded before time runs out.... Rofl!

But once they're in, you adjust every 2-3 years... If. Now I'm itching to uprade. Meh.
