to much fuel

my 01 prelude is running real rich whenits dark outside and the motors cool it wont start it will turn over and you can smell gas. when its daylight outside it fires right up no probs at all. its runnin so rich that we had to idle it up 2 1000rpm so that when u floor it it wont bog and its not a 100% but at 500-750rpm when u floor it it bogs bad. im thinking maybe i should adjustable fuel pressure regulator any one have any suggestions???

I say, pony up the $ and buy the o2 sensor(s). You're current ones are dead, and your car is in, "safe mode" making the car run rich just in case.

The APEXI NEO is a good item, but it wont cure your bogging...you need to get a real tune, instead of the NEO, which is really a fancier piggy-back system. I'm pretty sure your gas mileage is crap at the current moment as well...

my prob is whoever had the car cut the wires to the o2 sensors at the cat and for some reason theres a sparkplug there and im guessing the other one goes in the header wich is megan ss and theres no place to put an o2 sensor there could i get by with just one a guy was tellin me about a o2 dummy sensor or something he said it was just a box you wire up where the old sensor goes and it tells your computer everything is fine. maybe i should just get it tuned

You could just have a shop weld in a bung for the other sensor

to fix it without using o2 sensors you need a piggyback ems. there is NO other way to fix the problem. you're gonna need an AFR controller as well. Start saving and hope you find the right tuner in your area.

well sparkplugs .com has the o2 sensors for 40 bucks should i get the denso or ngk price is $1.00 difference but my main problem is starting the car at night when the motors cool or in the morning does the computer go by the o2 sensor as soon as you go to turn the key. im gonna try just to put the one in the catty @ see if it works. I cant get no help as to what you guys are doing about this prob. instead of spending money on o2 sensors maybe i should buy a piggyback ecu and afr controller any suggestions moneys a lil tight. any one know of a good tuner shop in southeast near mobile, alabama im gonna see if i you guys can help before i start spending money on stuff i really dont need.
