Re: 94 prelude skipping and sputtering

If it's 2 particular cylinders I'd say it's mechanical. Burnt valves? Blown piston rings?
Whatever the case you got an injured motor. Maybe try some no fouls plug extensions if plugs are fouling.
I don't get the 'makes me change gears at 3500' part. How come? Green manolishi with a 2 prong crown reach over and slap you if you don't? Motor flutters above 3.5k? What?

Pretty much got flamed for driving like a jackass and was told to slow down. And I'll be damned, slowing down fixed it.

Re: 94 prelude skipping and sputtering

are you sure the firing order is right? http://www.preludezone.com/general-t...e-manuals.html

you can download a manual from this link. you should be able to find the correct firing order by a quick google search. that is an easy fix if it is the problem.

Re: 94 prelude skipping and sputtering

If cylinders 2 and 3 do indeed have low compression, its prolly time for a rebuild.
