4th Gen Booster Delete

Hey guys, I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a write up on a brake booster delete for the 4th gens and can not seem to find one anywhere (here, preludepower, preludeonline, honda-tech). Has anyone done this yet? If so where can I find the thread for it? And if not I guess I'm going to have to do another write-up. Let me know because my MC plate is being milled and this IS going to happen. Any and all HELP would be appreciated.

Re: 4th Gen Booster Delete

This is what I'm sitting on right now.

My buddy milled that plate out for me but I believe it will work best on other hondas. Notice too that the MC has only one outlet. I'm not much of a brake guy but I do know that my current setup has two lines running to the MC. I do plan on doing an ABS delete and was curious if one of those lines was associated with the ABS unit, and if so, can I just bypass it at the MC when I do the delete?

Re: 4th Gen Booster Delete

**update** Just received a used MC from a 4th gen to use as a template because I believe all we have to do is just remove the Booster from the equation and mount the stock MC to a plate and bend the lines to fit. We'll see. Give it about a week to week and a half for the new milled plate to come in. Once this is done though and assuming everything works I'll probably make a limited production run of ten (10) booster delete plates. In case more people are interested and would like a nice cnc'd plate instead of a home-made one.

Re: 4th Gen Booster Delete

Are there any performance advantages/disadvantages to this or is this purely a bay tucking tactic? I like to clean things up but I'm not about suffering performance or comfort.

Re: 4th Gen Booster Delete

Bay tucking. BUT I do plan on piggy backing off of this post, Brake upgrade insanity - Honda Prelude Forum : Honda Prelude Forums

such as re-positioning the actuator rod to better the ratio. I am also going to be doing an S2k caliper and rotor swap so that there is more bite.

I have read posts from other Honda guys that have done a delete as well as talked to a few guys around here that all say it really isn't that bad. I'd like it just for a more natural feel instead or relying on a piece of equipment to help. Though having been a track runner (Road America open track days) I can't help but wonder how much I'm going to have to re-hone my braking during cornering. We'll see though, the first step is the hardest right?

Re: 4th Gen Booster Delete

Okay so we tried dojng a commercial "print" of the imperial flag... came off with clear coat. Also we have decided to scrap the wilwood MC and stick with stock so people can save money bh just reusing the MC they take off. If you have ave seen the gasket for your brake booster, thats what the new plate design will be. New design being shipped out this friday to the fabricator. Sorry i havent been on much. 7 month old baby, my car, and possibly buying a company are taking up my time right now. I did not forget about this. Been trying to track down stock parts to make the templates without having to pull mine and be wihout a DD. More up as we venture further on.

Re: 4th Gen Booster Delete

Will do. I know theres a write up somewhere on ABS delete for the 4th gens. If i find the link i have ill send it to you. I know you at least need or can use a 40/40 prop valve for the delete. Im doing mine as soon as my motor is out.
