Icon5 Is this legitimate?

JDM Engine Corp Honda Engines

I am looking for an H23A for my 96 ludeee, since my last one is no longer with me
I believe I may have found a deal; I am just skeptical about buying online and identifying phony sites!
I would like a few opinions from other Luders! Thanks!

Re: Is this legitimate?

hmotors seems to be a place to get good stuff from but might pay a little extra but you tend to get what you pay for

Re: Is this legitimate?

Hey I bought a h23a vtec for my 5th gen from JEI in Atlanta, Ga they were very nice which I went to the warehouse and picked out my own engine everyone of em i looked at were clean and no sludge... The good thing about these engines is they have not been beatin to death and they come out of a automatic car so you know they haven't been beat... Mines been installed for 6,000 miles now and no problems just make sure to install all new oem seals and timing belt and go with a h23 timing belt manual tensioner conversion!! Very strong engine and pulls very hard!!

Re: Is this legitimate?

I know I said I have been doing research lol, but can anyone help me out with this? I have the H23 not vtec, and was going to swap for the (vtec blue top). Are there any extra requirements in order to have a successfull engine swap? If so, what would they be?
OR is it a basic R&R?

Re: Is this legitimate?

I'm currently doing a h22a4 swap in my wife's cd5 accord which is same as a 4th gen I had to buy a obd1 p13 ecu or you can buy a chipped ecu (mentioned in forums) wire it up for vtec which is discussed in other forums use everything off your h23 non vtec engine ks, injectors, power steering, alt, ac, etc... Pretty much just a straight r&r just have to wire in vtec!!!
