Someone keeps parting out ludes!

I dont know if anyone else in Florida has noticed but this dude in Geneva, FL keeps parting out ludes most of the time they r perfectly running and in decent condition! Heres his latest 1...Parting out 97-01 honda prelude h22 - $1 (Geneva) that 1 he actually claims has a head gasket leak, why must someone keep making them rarer!
idk if i posted this in the right location, if not a mod can feel free to relocate it

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

pretty sure 2+ ludes get junked every day. It's just the way she goes with material objects that deteriorate over time, same with people.

Ludes be getting rarer every day.

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

Its a shame but ive had to strip a PERFECT 95 si and helped cut it in half.. Kinda a shame but i got my EL cluster for 25$ and 4 oem sawblades for 25$... Etc etc . Sometimes its just worth it to both people lol

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

That sux. I noticed only big stuff for sale too. So that means all those screws, gaskets deck panels, tail lights, seat belt clips, shifters, climate controls, consoles, vents, grommets etc getting crushed as well.
If the destined junkyard was in va i'd take a week off work and be a pic-in n pullin fool.

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

I'm actually potentially buying some parts off of him for an interior project I want to do. haha.

But yes, agreed, is certainly sad to see so many preludes off the road. But honestly, I get confused people asking me what kind of car it is all the time. I'm happy to be driving a rarity!

DUMB. Everyone, please be careful and try not to wreck your Lude, and drive defensively. People are idiots.

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

Prelude is for joy riding anymore. Ya gotta treat 'em like the vintage hot rods they are.
Civics and Accords make for better dd cars anyway.

You guys know that there are actually some people out there who don't get emotionally attached to their cars, right? Crazy notion, I know.
When they see any car, all they see is $$ signs.

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

Saved my '97 Lude after being Totaled - but had to use literally the back 1/2 sheet metal of a different Lude to repair. Would have had second thoughts if I had not owned since new & loved her.
Enjoy the drive!

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

I've save my 95 SE from getting trashed 2x times now after being totaled lol. I just got done tearing a 93 down to nothing... but the way I see it is if someone doesn't part them out how are we ever going to find used parts for our broken stuff? That and its too expensive to buy some of the stuff from Honda...

100$ sunroof is pretty good, if it comes with a motor i may go for it..
ITs funny how many Ludes I can find in one jy in vancouver... I must have spotted at least 10 good pairs of taillights on 4th gens in the last year only going to the jy like 5 times... Im definitely starting to pick n pull for sure from now on

I just dont understand why he takes good ludes and parts them out, yes this 1 has damage, the last 1 didnt but it does help others who need parts i guess

Re: Someone keeps parting out ludes!

I had to dismantle a 93 4WS with 49miles on it... not a typo, it was a test/learning car from Honda to my school... it's where I got my blue seats from, nice n fresh :) The school only wanted the engine and harness (H23) so all the rest I kinda picked out what I wanted hehe. Rare opportunities present themselves!
