H23a swap help

hey guys i have a 95 accord coupe (cd7). i got the car in a trade and week after i got it the stock engine blew so we swapped in a jdm h23a into it and the h22 tranny. i am using a p13 obd1 ecu and have swapped the a6 with a11 pin on ecu. i am using the stock accord ex harness also. so my problem is that when the car is cold it idles fine but once its warmed up it idles really ruff and then dies. when im driving it does the same thing when i come to a stop it idles ruff and dies unless i hold the accelerator to keep it at about 900 rpm. anyone have any suggestions on what could possibly be the issue. Also its running very rich on p13 and guzzles alot of gas. I have been looking all over the web and cannot find my answer.

Thanks in advance

Darren

Re: H23a swap help

Get a p28 with a H-base map. Theres a LOT to be switched over for the H23a to work right. Did u swap over the H22 injectors and fuel rail? If not u can use the stock one but you have to cut, splice and resolder the injector wires to ur harness. You also need to make surr the map sensor isnt broke.. Theres something on the h22 intake plenum that needs to be switched as well. Ill repost the answer to the plenum in a sec. This is how me and my friend did his EG swapped bluetop and his brothers 95 lude with bluetop

Re: H23a swap help

P28 should do it tho. P28 came out of a car with no emmisions i believe and p13 come from a car with emmisions.. I BELIEVE, not 100% sure tho

Re: H23a swap help

Ya was gonna use the p28 but i gotta pass state ref here in california so p13 is necessary. We used the jdm fuel rail and injectors so we cut and re did the wiring to the accord harness. If my mechanic hooked the wires to injectors wrong would that cause to much fuel to go through.

Re: H23a swap help

Its wasnt a bad map sensor, he said it was a bad tps and top intake plenum has to be switched to run the iacv. If u did that and its still runnin crappy make sure all injectors are good. If its still the same then its gotta be ecu. Can u use a p72 in cali?

You're lucky that 100 shot of nos didn't blow the welds on your intake.

Re: H23a swap help

I can try to find it. It pretty much just explained the injector issues with that swap. Just make sure all injectors are gettin proper fuel, if they are and it still acts up then its probly the ecu. I accually have a H23a bluetop coming to my house today for my lude! When i was ecu shopping i almost got a p13 and A LOT of people said that ecu will work but not to the motots full potetial. Everyone that knew H22, and H23a recomended p28. I think u can get a p72 but they are super expensive lol
