HID problem

I just recieved my HIDs and I just installed them. It's an 8000k bulb with the 35w ballast. My left one seems to be fine, but the right one turned pinkish/purple after a few minutes of warming up.. Any idea why this is happening?!

This is what it looks like.
Btw sorry if there's a thread on this, but I tried looking through the forums and using the search bar but no one seemed to have this problem..

Re: HID problem

DDM Tuning? What brand? I read a review on PP a couple weeks ago that was like 10 pages long on the DDM brand HID kits, and there were complaints of different shades of color between the left and right lights. Apparently it's something that warrants a return.

Re: HID problem

It's actually a brand from China... They also gave me warranty for it but I would have to wait over 2 weeks. Should I just buy one bulb for like 10 bucks?

Re: HID problem

my prelude sat in the elements for about four months, after i got her running again one of my 6000k would turn purple just like yours after warming up. it was the bulb that went bad. check your bulb and if you see that the middle ball inside is a dark, blackish color, then its bad.

Re: HID problem

Yes, this is a quality control issue. Buy another bulb, install it, and send your other one in for warranty. That way you have a spare.

Re: HID problem

+1 on the bulb. Don't touch it with your bare hands. Ever.

Re: HID problem

Thank you guys for the feedback! I just decided to buy a pair of replacement bulbs from a shop in Cali. Hopefully this fixes the problem.
