Need a little help

My names Mike, Im looking to get a new car when a 95 Prelude shows up cheap with 250k on the body and 65k on the new vtec engine. In hte add it says it needs a new "f20b ECU" My problem is, i have no idea what that is. can anyone tell me what it does and if its easy to switch it out or if it will rob engine of being good.

Ive asked a honda dealer if they sell the part and if they would be able to install it, but if i cna buy the part and do it myself i would.

Just asking for a little help.

Thanks for any replies.

Re: Need a little help

ecu is the brain for your automobile. f20 indicates type.
bottom line if your car runs ok, leave spocks brain alone until you've learned which ecu vs engine etc.

i think there's some other forum that discusses ecu in detail..
(coughing while speakin) preludepower eh hem..clears throat.
