Front Right wheel Chambered?!

so my front right wheel is chambered a bit.. while my driver wheel is not, i went and got it checked out and it says that the control arms are not bent or anything and that the alignment is good..the shocks and springs are the same on each side...What could be the problem?

Ill upload pictures of the difference..

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

Here is the difference...driver side wheel is flush with the body, while the other side isnt.

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

If they told u that the alignment is 100% spot on then I'm stumped... Looks like an adjustable BJ on one side or adjustable control arm endlinks, thats weird...

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

You could just have a worn out strut. it would cause that side of the car to sag and camber that wheel in.

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

So you're telling me if u go back and reset your camber to 0 degrees, your wheels would no longer be aligned ?
You should take both front wheels off and compare the 2 sides, and bushings, give it a good spray with water (no degreaser on bushings) so u can see around. Anything thats different should be easy to spot..

Do possibly you mean a strut bushing in the lower control arm, or just a lazy, tired strut ?
Would it make a rattle or give weird feedback while driving, whats a quick diagnosis ?

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

A worn out strut won't cause that when you have double wishbone style front suspension like we do. Something like an Impala or Grand Prix may do that, if the camber adjustment bolts are worn, misadjusted, or the strut bearing is worn. Our camber/caster/toe is completely independent of the strut, unlike a lot of FWD cars. For instance, the 2013 Accord is now a McPherson strut style front suspension, where the strut bolts directly to the top side of the spindle. Our cars (4G and 5G that I know of for sure) are double wishbone, the strut attaches to the lower control arm, and goes through the upper control arm. McPherson style cars don't have upper control arms up front.

Back to the subject, the only things I could see to cause that could be a completely trashed ball joint, bent control arm, or severely worn (to the point they almost don't exist) control arm bushings. If the shop says it's within spec, take your keys back and NEVER go there again they obviously don't know what they're talking about.

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

If everything is within spec then i don't have a clue....does one side of the car sit lower in the front than the other or is that 1 wheel just cambered in?

May cause your front tires to wear unevenly.
Does it turn nice and tight on that side ?

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

Well, I'd personally take it somewhere for a second opinion. There are some shops that wont charge you just to take a look at it im pretty sure... Go in early morning so they may have a few free minutes to spend with u..
But if u don't then watch out for the nasty potholes we got !!

I'll make a video soon where I show how f'd up my suspension is... Ppl here will BLAST me... but Im sooo careful driving around this damn city and its horrible roads..

That camber **** would drive me crazz..

Re: Front Right wheel Chambered?!

i took a vehicle to tire America for rotations, oil change etc and they checked alignment for $0.
just buy some wiper blades or something so they'll remember you are cool like that and not some freeloader
