Well, its official: my engine is TOASTTTT!!!
She was shaking worse than a big block, and knocking worse than anything i've ever heard.
Apparently 5.8psi was too much for a stock H23 w/ 116K. I'm fuking furious right now.


If anyone hears about ANY cheap 4G engines (F22 or h23) in the tri-state, lemme know. Also if anyone wants to help me swap engines, it'd be much obliged.

it only happened when i was accelerating. once i was @ 65mph and maintained that speed it was fine. does that make sense?

If it is in fact making a noise like that and your sure its not anything else, pull the oil pan, windage tray, and oil pick up off. inspect the rod ends. If you burnt up a rod bearing or spun it you will see burnt marks on the rod. You may need to pull the rod caps off and inspect the bearings. If the crank didnt go fubar, you can just replace that rod or buy a new set of rods (eagles come to mind) and buy new rod, main, and thrust bearings. Then put it back together.

Man I'm sorry to here that bro. I think I have a good h22 block laying around here. I think.... Don't know if you'd be interested in that though. I feel you on the ride of the month thing. it's the same reason I didn't accept my nomination. Since I've revived my car it's never been 100% cosmetically or mechanically except for the few seconds I tested my launch control and wind out my third gear on the highway. I can tell winter is coming. So many sad stories about Ludes. hang in there bro...

yeah u probly did bend some valves. i just got done dealin with that. my t-belt messed up and i had to replace all the exhaust valves.

maybe i can be ROTM now lol jk i dont want it. its cursed

Did you consider the f22B DOHC motor? it's like $700 bucks and identical to the h23---which costs over $1000.
FORGET the F22a1...leave that to the Accords...
