Icon5 CD player error.

I tried searching the forums for this, and couldn't find it. Last night I was listening to my CD's while on my way to my friends house. It all worked fine. When I came out to my car in the morning to go home, the CD player wouldn't work and kept giving me the code "E-00", than it would eject the CD and not even give it a try. Any ideas? All other electronics are working fine. Radio is fine also.

Re: CD player error.

Reset by removing all power from the unit and see if problem remains.

Re: CD player error.

My stock one did it when I got the car also a few months ago. It got really bad and to the point where you could never listen to a darn full song, tried taking it out and apart and cleaning it,resetting it and what not but problem still prosisted. Most likely it's just kicking the bucket, I put a sony explode out of a 300$ winter beater saturn I bought in the Lude and it works just perfect now.

Edit: Also new or different cds didn't help, all the same cds worked in my girlfriends prelude just perfect with her stock oem unit without errors or spitting them out.

Re: CD player error.

Is it cold where you are? Sometimes my OEM headunit had this error when it was cold. I didn't have the problem in the summer...and I haven't found a fix; I just waited for the car to warm up until I started to play CDs again
