paint stock rims?

got a 93 lude. im kinda broke so i was thinking of just painting my rims gunmetal or a little darker with red honda emblem? i live in a small town so i have body shop nazis cuz they know i cant go anywhere else. you think this is a good idea? and any idea how much i should expect to pay to paint them? i found this pic of my rims painted so u have an idea of what im goin for (but gunmetalish wit red honda sign lol)

Its not that hard just mask off the lip like I did(assuming you want a silverish lip)
then just spray it evenly.

Black with polished lip is the only way yo! I painted mine on my 5g but they didn't turn out like I wanted so I just polished them back and left them.

i just didnt want black because you cant see the rims as well. dark gunmetal is still grey enough that u can see them. but black with my stripes would look pretty good. if you were me would you go black or dark grey?

I used the wheel paint at Pep Boys and O'Reilly's. I think it was Dupli-Color, 99% sure. Be sure to sand them with about 500 grit paper and primer them. I reccomend clearcoating them too. You can get that at the auto store as well. Get 2 cans of paint, 1 clear cloat, and 1 primer.
