f22a1 Rebuild

Whats up guys, just thought I would share my f22a1 rebuild I have going on in my 91 Accord. I just bought a new head and full gasket set so Im doing it right and I decided I would make it look pretty good too. Let me know what you think and any recommendations you may have.

More pictures later on just a quick post for now

Re: f22a1 Rebuild

you should change that header.
F engines header (and whole exhaust) is pretty damn restrictive

and maybe get that IM ported

Re: f22a1 Rebuild

custom is the best way

just buy vibrant resonator and muffler, high flow cat and let some muffler shop bend and weld rest of the piping together

http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...1022_1063_1111 (or check can you get magnaflow cheaper)
http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...1022_1033_1054
http://vibrantperformance.com/catalo...oducts_id=1153

custom header would be the best choice also if you find someone, who knows what hes doing, to make it

Re: f22a1 Rebuild

Looks pretty nice. I would think getting the 3" setup all the way back would be best right? Because it allows more flow?

Re: f22a1 Rebuild

I had 2,25 piping in my old (f20a) accord, it had deep but still pretty quiet sound. but the sound quality is all about the resonator and back muffler

2,5" would be then more noisy, but if you dont build your engine more, you dont really need 2,5" piping

Re: f22a1 Rebuild

Right now I'm going to just keep a stock. Um maybe later on stroke it to a 2.4 or 2.5 and then throw some turbo or nos on that!
