Annoying rear deck rattle...

I own a 5th gen and a rattle appears when I have a good amount of bass coming from music. I think it's my rear deck brake light because I can physically hold it down and it won't rattle. So it's vibrating and hitting the rear window... any suggestions on what to put between the light and the window to stop the rattling? Note, there is really only maybe... about a 1/4 inch between the window and the light, so there's not much I can put through there!

Re: Annoying rear deck rattle...

Tighten the light - i believe there is a screw or two in the trunk, underneath it.

Or use 2 rubber strips on the side of the light - between the glass and light itself. I had mine like that for the longest time.

Re: Annoying rear deck rattle...

I'm on very very low funds right now... probably around 4 dollars at max LOL. So I have to improvise! Hahaha but yes, I planned on it!

Re: Annoying rear deck rattle...

for me, it was the whole rear deck lid that was vibrating.. I have an SH, so no third brake light.

Re: Annoying rear deck rattle...

It's the third brake light mine vibrates sometimes and I've removed the light and no vibrating at all.
