Icon9 Help, how to fix..

I found a new problem with my car , sucks :(..
Like 2 days ago my oil lamp dash light started blinking red , so I decided to hunt for the problem. The light comes and goes as I drive like am loosing pressure or something. I couldn't find any leaks and was about to change my oil pressure switch to make sure its not a faulty code but instead i found this...

The bolt seems to be ok and it even screw to the screw measuring tool with no problem so that means my block is striped.
It is so bad that there is no need to screw it in , i was able to push the bolt in with almost no force, scary ****..
Do you guys think this is causing me to loose oil pressure and what would be the best way to fix this huge problem, bolt is m12-1.25 , can I buy something a tad bigger and jam it in there or something ?...
Please help me out ,

Re: Help, how to fix..

You are going to have to retap the hole. Are you positive that is the correct bolt the went to that hole? Id take a good look Arround to be sure there isn't another bolt missing somewhere else. Is there shards of metal coming out of the whole?

Re: Help, how to fix..

A lot of times during "spirited driving," that light will come on if you are even just a tad bit low on oil. Just check your oil level regularly and keep it where it needs to be.

You could try to retap the hole before changing the block :-/

Re: Help, how to fix..

The sole purpose of that bolt is to secure the transmission to the block. While you should look into resolving this issue, that is not causing your oil light to come on.

Your oil level is too low. This goes for you as well as the OP.

this. make sure you find a bolt the next size up, and find the tap to match. this is not terribly difficult.

Re: Help, how to fix..

You can take me out the hood, but you cant take the hood outa me...
This was my ghetto fix, has anyone everydone something similar, am wondering how long it would last.

I shoved a 1/2 bolt in there with a few lock washers to dampen vibration and force. Not sure about longetivity but all i know is ever since i "fixed it" now my clutch engagest alot more smoother and there is alot less yerking from stand still...
But my oil pressure light still comes and goes, am going to try replacing oil pressure switch next...

Re: Help, how to fix..

I did an oil change and changed oil filter but used an s2000 filter.. I heard it increases oil pressure so I thought it might help... Since I did that the light takes longer to come on, but it still comes on, only when I go on long (NONE SPIRITED) drives.....

Re: Help, how to fix..

How much oil is on the back of the block? are you leaking oil?

usually when the oil pressure switch gets wet with oil or whatever else may leak onto it - it will throw an oil light. I had the same issue and changed my switch (10 minute job) and that fixed my issue.... for now...

Re: Help, how to fix..

Update1, I figured out the problem, my damn oil pressure switch was not connected. I removed the switch and reattached the wire to the pig tail and never again has that light come back..
Update2, the bell housing hack job has been holding up so far, I will try to see how long it last or update if my whole car goes on fire b/c of it...
