Re: DDM Tuning hid problem..

Are you running your HID wiring through an HID relay harness or stock harness?
Check your wires for corrosion and loose connections.
Check fuse and relay connection.
Try switching ballasts (passenger to driver side) to see if problem remains.
Switch HID bulbs to see if problem remains.

Re: DDM Tuning hid problem..

Do you have 35w or 55w? I had a similar problem with a 55w kit, I run a 35w and no more problems.

Re: DDM Tuning hid problem..

Tried turning on when car was running , thinking I might need a relay , tried replacement bulb and still nothing , I'll switch ballast tomorrow .

As for warranty , it probably cost as much to ship them back.

Re: DDM Tuning hid problem..

On mine, if I turn them on when the car is off, then I start the car, the driver side goes out. If I start the car then turn them on, they work fine.

Re: DDM Tuning hid problem..

Nope. DRLs don't supply enough juice to both headlights, they run at a lower current to save the headlight bulbs. You will need a harness that will supply power to the ballasts individually, and trigger on when you turn on the headlights.
