Have leak...

I have a hose coming from underneath the air intake and leading to the middle of the automatic fuel injection processor. If this crappy picture helps at all it's here.

Re: Have leak...

Lol i forgot to tell you guys the problem. What fluid runs through this hose? I need to know because there is blue liquid flowing out of it. Not sure if it's fuel because if it is, that would suck and could possibly cause an engine fire.

Re: Have leak...

Blue liquid? Taking a guess and saying maybe it's your washer or coolant fluid. Can't see with the picture.

Re: Have leak...

Yeah, coolant is green and wind shield wiper fluid I don't think so because it runs from under the fuel injector. It's a rubber hose so there wouldn't be any pressure in it right? Also the gasoline would slowly eat away at the hose right? I was thinking it was gasoline but it didn't smell like fuel or burn at all. I'll post a picture up tomorrow with a better view, it's late. If this helps with the picture, the black plastic on the right side is the fuel rod and the metal at the top of the picture is the connecting piece to the fuel injector that is housing the hose that's leaking. Not sure what it is. Any guesses on that?

Re: Have leak...

Granted you haven't even said what year/gen you have, I'm gonna take a random stab in the dark and say you have a 5th gen. In which case I'm pretty sure that's your IACV pictured (and not FITV). Regardless, both of them are operated by coolant so that's what kinda hose is supposed to attach to the IACV. Buuttttttt, since it's such a crappy picture I can hardly tell, but there's supposed to be a nipple coming off the left side of the IACV which is what the coolant hose slides on to. But the nipple broke off, so you need a new IACV.

Now onto the blue fluid, I'm almost positive Honda's should only use GREEN fluid, not blue.

Re: Have leak...

Oh yeah my bad, sorry forgot. It's an 01. AND thank you soooo much, i've been trying to figure out what that was forever. As you we're saying I have to replace my IACV because of the missing 'nipple'? I have been driving for 3 months with that like that. I'm just curious why I would have to replace that? Also, the hose is coming from underneath it and I was wondering if it's safe to replace that? (Pressure inside?)

Re: Have leak...

The left bolt in the picture, look above that. There's an open hole there, correct?

That's not supposed to be like that, the coolant hose is supposed to attach to that hole via a nipple, which "looks" like it broke off. Can hardly tell from that crappy pic.
