rjschmon is on a distinguished road
Re: Quarter panel>

you do realize you will have to cut and weld on the new rear quarter panel.....it is not sold as a "part".....junkyard is your best place to find one you can cut yourself

Re: Quarter panel>

it's hard using a whole panel..cutting it and putting it in place and looking good...your probably just better off cutting that section out and weld the new one in.

Re: Quarter panel>

ya I was contimplating on selling it I know a guy who is a god at doing stuff like this its too bad he charges 25 bucks a hour so I may have to just get another prelude I love them and I have done so much work to this car I just feel I have a connection with it I know it sounds weird but I have basically had everything apart besides the motor and transmission so I may just have to buy another shell and swap all my parts over to it I wouldnt mind if it was a small part of the quarter panel but it is the whole thing I just put a few layers of fiberglass on it for now but deffinately want to get it fixed its discouraging me from going to any prelude meets

Re: Quarter panel>

ah man dont let it get you down lol, we all know how you feel on THAT specific car. A shell would probably be your best bet and just swap everything over that you know is in great condition. Body work is by far my least favorite (to do and to pay for) but that is one thing that will definitely pay off in the end.

Re: Quarter panel>

just make sure to cover it as soon as you get it on there with some kind of sealer and primer so you don't run into rust issues. let us know how it turns out and we would like some before/during/after photos as well!! Good luck.
