Icon5 oil inside the distributor

Ok so i finally got my lure running after putting a new dizzy and fuel pump on it well today i was doin down the road and it started bogging down and just died and wouldn't crank back. I looked around and seen oil leaking all over the tranny from the back of the dizzy and took the cap off the dizzy and it poured oil out of it. So what in gettin at is it possible i just ruined this new dizzy? It had a brand new oring on it and i don't get why it flooded the dizzy. Any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Re: oil inside the distributor

You sure you installed the dizzy o-ring correctly? Cuz that's what prevents oil from gettin into the dizzy.

Yeah it was on right it was too small tho and didn't seal it up. I got a new oring that's right today and now imbnot getting any spark from the plugs or the coil like the ignitor is telling isn't telling it to fire
