Re: Just Looking for some insite

In response to customized, all I have done is my SSD mod (see picture below)
I ran a USB cable from the back of my head unit through the center console and into the top of the console connecting to my SSD.

Other than that, I removed the 3rd brake light and carpeted the back deck to cover the hole left by the light.

On that note, I have one idea I am mulling in my head. That is to turn the cruise control buttons into remotes for the SS shifter.

1: There are a few options out there. I would only advise of a kit in the rear - NEVER the front.

2: The Depo rubber garage door lip does not protect it. Just makes it look lower. If you want to protect your lip- raise the car/don't hit stuff/ do a clear bra

3: yes

4: you're asking for a long list here for customized parts, all done by me - i guess some are unique;

endlinks
rear deck re-covering with 3rd brake light removed
EHPS
s2k mc
clutch line
evap lines
ac lines
cooling plate (yes, i made my own version awhile ago)
full wire tuck
coolant catch can
misc relocation brackets
wink mirror shake reducing brackets
kill switch bezel/setup
cf license plate backing
cf cooling plate
cf blockoff plates
cf center consul overlay
cf arm wrest
rear seat delete - side plugs (so no holes in the side panels)
exhaust setup (pieced together to my likings)

i think that's all....

First things first ***Insight***

Now the home depot lip actually does help sometimes and no you do NOT need a camber kit despite of what you may have been told. Just get an alignment, there have been plenty of threads about that

How does a piece of rubber screwed into the bottom of a front lip, protect it?

Either you end up with tons of screw holes, and have it eventually ripped off. Or if you're really low enough to scrape the bottom of the lip - who's going to see that anyway? The stripping isn't wide enough to protect the entire underside of the lip. If it were something on the front - i can see it helping.

I must have missed the threads on alignments fixing cars that are lowered 2"+

I would highly suggest custom UCA's for the front. airbagit.com has adjustable UCA's - but i have no personal experience with them nor do I care enough to look into any reviews. I just know they're an example of one company. So if anyone goes to purchase from them - they need to do a lot of research.

Adjustable ball joints won't do any damage in the rear - if used. Which is why I would only recommend them in the rear, and NOT the front. But if used in the front, say goodbye to your shock towers. They will dent the hell out of the tops and be visible in the engine bay.

An alignment will only correct so much. I agree that really low cars have camber issues and an alignment will not correct this. I'm only lowered 1.5" and my rear has negative camber, with an empty trunk and 1/4 tank of gas... gets worse as I fill up with gas lol
