Icon10 non-vtec to VTEC!!!

Hey i just wanted to get a base price and to see if anyone has a vtec head they would like to sell
I would like to know what would take to go vtec
I have a 1995 2.3 non vtec
Also I want to know how much money would it take to do the swap
Or I am really considering buying 240sx

Re: non-vtec to VTEC!!!

pretty sure you will need a different ecu and maybe wire harness along with that head, don't quote me on that though.

Re: non-vtec to VTEC!!!

you could search for prices, that's usually what i do do when I'm trying to find out how much something is going to cost

It's not for a h22 but its something that will help you get a price range. $$$price of ls/vtec conversion - Honda-Tech

Re: non-vtec to VTEC!!!

Would be easier to just swap a h22.
But you will need a new ecu costing around $200.
Here's a link to where you can get that ecu.
Phearable.net - Electronic Fuel Injection Tuning Solutions - Hondata, Neptune, Crome, Uberdata, Ectune, AEM, Honda Tuning, Widebands, Fuel Pumps, Intercoolers, Turbos, LS/VTEC, ECU Chipping, Chipped Ecus, P28
You will also need a tune when you're all done.
I'd say total cost is somewhere around $1500 without labor.
