HELP PLEASE!!

So I own a 93 prelude h22a and I'm having trouble with it. I don't know much about cars yet, but still learning as much as I could. Any suggestions or answers about my problem with be great help =)...

The problem is the rev limit. My lude only rev to 6500 then it chokes, but what i see other lude it could rev all the way up to 7000. 6500 is currently the max rev as of right now. Any reasons why its so low? BTW its stock.

Re: HELP PLEASE!!

Is your car an auto or 5spd?

Do you have a tuned or chipped ecu?

don't know actually just decided to slam my car the other day and notice it chokes at 6500. What do you think might be wrong? Could it be the ecu?

Re: HELP PLEASE!!

Re: HELP PLEASE!!

Man, title made it sound like your car blew up. Honestly you don't need to go up 7000. that 500 rpm won't matter. i don't recall what my sister's old Lude redlined at but it was the same year. I have a 5th gen at it redlines at 7,000 but rev limit kicks in around 6800. Plus if that is the first time you got the rpm's that high then it don't matter when the limiter kicks in because you not driving the car too hard.
