Icon5 Oil light flashing in 01 Prelude

I have an 01 Prelude SE, it's full of oil, but for some reason once its been running for a bit the oil light will come on and flash. I have recently replaced the oil filter gasket, and the sending unit. I have heard a number of people say its the pressure sensor, or the oil pump. Any suggestions?

Re: Oil light flashing in 01 Prelude

it's going to be one or the other. i'm going through the same issue. i've taken it to a few different places and they can't seem to figure out what it is. then again i'm in germany and there really aren't a lot of people who "specialize" in hondas. i can't imagine it being that difficult to check if the pressure switch is working fine. i just don't have the time to do it right now, or i would.

i would suggest, if you can get an actual pressure transmitter with a gauge (as apposed to a switch) hook it up and see what sort of pressure readings you get. if you want to be lazy and you have the money, replace the switch and see what happens. if it fix the problem, replace the pump.
