Weathertech Visor installation?

Ok so im trying to install some weathertechs that i bought online new for my 4th gen. I follow instructions and the after i close the window they come out with little to no effort
I understand that if the window is down they come out easy but i can't believe they come out that easy even the window completely up. And in my passenger side the middle part sticks out!
Will i have to buy new weather stripping or something? Its not cracking or anything just slightly usual fading.
Any Instructions available that is specifically for the 4th gen preludes all i got was a universal one for a sedan car. which didn't help at all.

Mine stayed on fine, but then one flew off on the highway once. Lol fml. You could glue them in. If and when I buy another set that's what I'll be doing.

Re: Weathertech Visor installation?

they did actually send me some glue with the second set .. i forgot that .. but if you get a set honda factory ones they actually have brackets that go in under the rubber seal and they mount on that . fyi if your windows are tinted the weather tech ones with eff up your tint also found this out the hard way .

Re: Weathertech Visor installation?

where they are in the track they pinch the top of the glass when you roll them up and they will eventually cause the tint to start to come off the top of the glass ..

Re: Weathertech Visor installation?

The reason it doesn't stick is because the track is dirty. not enough to notice, but enough to have what happened. If you can, post pics of the visors, I redid my visors on my suburban, those stick to the frame of the door. If you can, you can get 5lb outdoor doubleside tape and you can stick it on the outside of the door frame.

I must warn you, if you go this route, you need to
1.apply the tape to the visors (leave the sticky red film on, trim to fit)
2. Wash the hell out of the surface, dry, claybar
3. Use a blow dryer for perfect adhesion; warm up the door frame, carefully!
4. Remove film and apply, you get 2 good chances.
5. After getting the visors lined up, blow dry the panels until warm to touch.
6. Profit

Re: Weathertech Visor installation?

I fixed it since i kept on searching then just found out that i just had to clean them a bit more
Now they fit a bit better. Though i will probably add the 3m tape so that they stick better when i have the windows down on the highway.
