temperatur problems. STILL

Okay. Its been a while since i've posted if anyone remembers i was having temp issues. I replaced the t-stat. it is opening. my fans are BOTH working. I bled the cooling system numerous times. My temp is still increasing at idle on occasion. Turning on the heat makes it worse usually. If i let it sit and run for a few minutes it will start climbing, sometimes going right back down as soon as the fans kick on. Doesnt seem to be air in the lines as i said i bled the cooling system more than once to be sure. If i start driving it USUALLY goes back down to normal. Not always immediately. Sometimes will raise one more bar past normal and then go back down. Not sure if this is a sensor issue or fan switch or what. Just getting really irritating. It didn't do this when i bought the car last summer, started about halfway thru the winter so it hasn't always been this way. What is weird is the thermostat definitely needed replaced because it got a lot better, doesnt increase while driving like it used to. But its almost like it helped but didnt completely fix the problem. Any ideas? sorry this is so scattered. Im running a Jdm dohc f22b.

Re: temperatur problems. STILL

Sounds like a flow problem. Could be a blockage in the rad, or a dying water pump.

I am hoping if it's anything it's the rad. It's kinda beat so it's a possibility. I need to do the t belt and water pump anyway cause I doubt if they were ever changed. Having an oddball motor sucks sometimes :/

More info required. Miles on the car? If the timing belt and water pump were never changed, and the rad is flaky, start with those. If the problem persists, repost and we'll narrow it down and get it solved.

Body has 175. Motor is unknown. Kid I bought it from claimed it had 50k but he claimed a lot of things.

Re: temperatur problems. STILL

Another thing that's weird if this helps is it tends to go up quicker at idle if I'm using any climate control at all. Cool warm rear defrost etc. car does not have ac it was previously and very half ass deleted.
