93 Si 4WS: Different size/type brake master cylinders??

Hi;

Does anyone know, were there different sizes/types of brake master cylinders installed in 93 Preludes? I needed a new one, ordered a Wagner MC 120597, which, according to the "part finder" on the website where I got it, is the correct one for a 1993 Si 4WS. My mechanic just called, and said it didn't fit, because the connectors on my OLD one were two different sizes, but the connectors on the NEW one were both the same size.

My Prelude has the H23A, original as far as I know. I'm so close to having it fixed! I just want to drive it, you know..? I don't know yet exactly what the sizes of the connectors are; he just called to let me know that there was a snag so I could start looking into it.

Any help is appreciated... Thanks...

Re: 93 Si 4WS: Different size/type brake master cylinders??

I guess I sort of answered my own question, though I don't know why the answer exists, as it were. The master cylinder I got--a Wagner--had two 12mm connections. I called the place where I got it, and got hold of a very helpful person who went to do some research. He called me back and said that, yes, the Wagner had two same-size connectors, and was listed as "right" for my car; but there were also a Cardone and a Beck-Arnley that had one 12mm connector, and one 10mm connector, and *that* one was also "right" for it!

Obviously, the problem was that I needed the one with two different sized connectors, though I have no idea why the difference exists. If I learn anymore, I'll post it, in the hopes of saving someone else the trouble of having to return the wrong part.

Thanks...
