Clunking sound in the rear suspensions... annoying!

I got in an accident last year and replaced alot of the suspension parts after it happened. There was still a big clunking sound like my strut was out so I put in a new strut but the sound is still there, its facking annoying! Anyone know what that might be? oh and does a new strut squeak alot when its first put in like rubber on rubber?

Is your spring seat still there and in tact?

Re: Clunking sound in the rear suspensions... annoying!

yeah it could be anything. best bet is to get under the car with it jacked up and move the suspension and see what it is that is clunking

Re: Clunking sound in the rear suspensions... annoying!

It may be a ball joint. Check for play by having one hand on bottom of wheel and other hand on top of wheel and pull/push back and forth. If it knocks then that's your culprit.
