so im converting my prelude to e85 and i took a look at my fuel lines and i dont think they'll hold up. is anyone running e85? and if so have you had any problems with your lines or did you change them for something else?

Re: recomend me some fuel lines for e85

they should be fine, as long as they are in decent condition. but if your really worried about it, Just go with some stainless steal, Braided lines all the way back, or get new lines, of possibly a larger diameter.

thinking about it, if it were my lude and i was in your spot, i'd probably bend new hard lines for under the car, and then run stainless braided lines under the hood and such.

You can run higher C/R, or much higher boost levels, trade off is though you need alot more of it(ie much larger fuel injectors then you would normal gas) and it can be hard to find.

Just run your normal lines, just make sure if your going to convert, to:
1: Make sure your fuel system is compatable with e85(big ones being fuel injectors and filter)
2: Tune for it
3: Flush your tank and lines with e85

Re: recomend me some fuel lines for e85

with k20 na engine (98 fuel -> re85) +10hp/9nm

but of course it consumes more fuel then, one other b18 civic started to eat e85 ~18,5% more than normal fuel

you need BIGGER injectors, better fuel pump and its probably wise to new the fuel lines also

Re: recomend me some fuel lines for e85

TypeT - do you have any personal experience with e85? I was wanting to do a high compression semi DD in the future and wanted to get started with purchasing some parts. Will the walbro255 pump be enough? What size injectors? Brand of fuel filter that will be good for ethanol? And like OP said, what fuel lines? I know, a lot of questions so thank you in advance!

sorry no I dont have any personal experience, but few members in finnish honda forum have done this conversion.

some say that walbro cannot officially handle e85

one guy choosed between these pumps in his turbo civic project: xenocron 340, walbro 400 and dw300 and he ended up with dw300 because it had the longest warranty

that b18 civic what I mentioned had rdx 410cc injectors and that d16 turbo civic has 680cc so I bet that with h22 prelude its probably wise to go big, like that turbo one

gates have some multifuel-hoses, you could check that out, it SHOULD handle e85
