1998 Prelude Type-SH Suspension

Alright so my car is a '98 Prelude Type-SH with a engine swap out of a '01 base model, still the H22a$ DOHC Vtec but just doesnt have the atts, but to me thats perfectly fine, a better handling car while still being able to make good power considering i dont have the atts lol, BUT anyways, so just a couple questions, I want to drop the car 2" and i want to use a shock and spring combo, i am on a pretty tight budget as i am still paying my car off and in highschool, i live in canada and wont be looking into buying this until after winter is over. If i were to purchase a shock and spring combo for a base model will it fit and work properly? as long as i keep both the shock and the spring matching for the same model? because i know a sh shock and base spring wont work properly, I ask this because it is MUCH easier to find the parts to fit for a base model than it is for a sh model! thanks for reading and the help!
