DIY :F22B/H23 HEAD ON A F22AX BLOCK

DIY :F22B/H23 HEAD ON A F22AX BLOCK

WARNING: Do this a your own risk

This head to block combination is really good if your planing on boost; low compression ratio and iron sleeved block.

things you will need

h23/f22b jdm head: These heads are basically the same with an exception, H head has an extra oil return hole that needs to be blocked off with hondabond, epoxy, etc.

h23 intake/exhaust manifold.

I/E/VC gaskets.

h23 manual timing belt manual tensioner.

h23 bottom timing gear

f22a1 water pump

f22b/h23 timing belt. (88 dodge caravan 2.5L will also work)

f22b:The f22a1 head gasket will fit perfect with no modifications to the head or the block.

h23:The f23 head gasket will fit when the oil return hole is plugged

[have to head to work will post the rest when i return]

Almost sounds like a G-series build.

Try posting DIY's in the appropriate DIY section so they stay viewable vs vanishing after more threads are made.... DIY Do-It-Yourself - Honda Prelude Forum
