Icon5 h23 vtec clarification?

hey guys, its been a while since i posted, but im finally looking into making my 1992 prelude h23 a vtec motor. i understand that there is alot more involved than just bolting the head on and i want someone THAT HAS EXPERIENCE with this build and knows exactly what they are talking about to give me a little bit of advice and double check my build.
ive read alot on this head swap, but i can tell half of it is rubbish.

i understand that valve clearance is a problem with this build, as well as spinning bearings, and even throwing a piston and cracking the head.. thats why i want someone experienced to give me advice. but anything is appreciated as i have never done this build before.

build (so far this is all ive gotten that i feel is correct, everything else seems like bull****)

H23 block
h23 2.0gear trannie
h22 head w/ internals
h22 headgasket, h22 oil flow passages, timing belt, plug wires/harness, ecu
h22 crankshaft
h23 forged pistons & rods(for a lower compression.. can the h23 block handle 11:6:1 from h22 pistons???)

i am not looking to redline at 10k rpm or anything ridiculous, 8500 would be more than suitable, this isnt going to be a racecar, just a DD that noone around here has.

basically this is all ive come up with, as im not exactly sure what is right and i dont want to do this wrong.
in the future id like to run a low boost, i realize that h23 is better for boost than h22, and probably better than the hybrid, but im wondering if a boosted hybrid, built correctly and intelligently, would fair well against.. say.. an WRX STI or similar.
help?

Re: h23 vtec clarification?

as for if the h23 can handle a compression of 11.5:1, I beleive the most stock can handle is the mahle forged pistons without sleeving the block.
If you sleeve done right, the block could handle pretty much anything as long as its not ridiculous.

And yes, use the h23 crank. It will increase the lower end tourque.
I know H-T has a bunch of threads on this frank motor. I'll find the links.
