advice on my civic please!

alright yall,
so i am a 5th gen owner. however i'm wonding if i can get some advice on my winter ****box. in an effort to make it last longer than i had originally planned, i'm going to do some pretty major work on it next summer while its away for the summer. its a 1996 civic ex sedan with 315,000 kms on it. i'm thinking i'm going to go to a scrapyard and get a tranny and a head with considerably lower kilometers on them to replace the ones i have. i was also thinking that i would replace the piston rings as well. is there anything else i should do while i have all of that apart? thanks yall

He's not doing it in the winter, nothing personal against you 95bb2 it just really bothers me when people leave smart azz comments and they are wrong because they didn't actually read the post. OP: def replace all the seals that you can like the previous people said.

Lol yeah I missed that, but I wasn't leaving a smart "azz" comment, the only one being an ASS is you sir. It was a mistake and you are trying to make someone else look like an ass!?

You've got to be kidding.
