Small Questions Thread!!!!!

I got this idea from Zilvia and I was impressed with how helpful it was, so I thought I would try bringing it here to avoid unnecessary threads and flaming!

RULES:

1.) Do not post useless replies in this thread. This is for small insignificant questions and stupid replies should tempt mods to ban.

2.) Do not post unless you are asking a question or answering one!

3.) Do not be sarcastic! This is meant to be a direct question/answer thread. If a question annoys you, just ignore it!

4.) SEARCH FIRST! If you cannot find what you're looking for, then post! This thread is for simple little questions that do not require a thread!

Possible sticky?

Re: Small Questions Thread!!!!!

Will h22 injectors fit my f22? What is the lug pattern on my 95 Si? Where do I go to get retrofitted H.I.D.'s? Why do my doors unlock when I close them? What's the torque spec on the crankshaft pulley? Where can I get rims straightened in SW Ohio? Are h22a4 blocks the same as h22a1?

Just little questions that don't require much for an answer and definitely don't deserve an entire thread.

This has over 271 pages on Zilvia. I see a lot of threads on here where a simple answer would have covered it entirely. Plus, if it becomes popular, there will be many people that see the question and the odds that someone knows an answer become greater.

Reverse lights sound like the switch on the transmission, below the distributor on the transmission (in that area). The dim brake light could mean you need a new bulb soon. The indicator light could be light fading through from another portion of the cluster due to a crack or piece missing or possibly the indicator relay?

Re: Small Questions Thread!!!!!

I have a 1992 Prelude si, the engine that was in it was a h23. I blew the H last year and now all i can afford to swap in it is a f22b1 Vtec. The Vtec came from a 1994 Accord. My question is "what Engine wiring Harness do i need so that it can match up to my F22 and match up to my Prelude???? Becuase the F22 HArness does not fit up to my Prelude.....

Why not just do the F22a1? I'm pretty sure it's a direct fit into the H23 and the harness will work as well. Plus it will be cheaper. That's what I was told, anyways.

So I take it this extremely helpful style of thread is just going to get left in the dirt? I really think this could be helpful for us. There's a reason it's so popular elsewhere.

I doubt it's the switch on the transmission, I've never touched anything under there before in that area. I replaced every bulb in the tail light housings. And last but not least I've never had a crack in my gauge cluster, and the light was never on until all these other symptoms came about. So it looks like although helpful, none of these suggestions alleviated my problem. I think I've got it narrowed down to 1. The knucklehead who put my stereo in screwed up, or 2. The knucklehead who put the ghetto car alarm that is now inactive messed up.

anyone got an answer for me about the F&F type 1's on ebay? could they be knock offs?

EDIT: TypeT, I have never heard anything like that before so I'm pretty sure they are the same size, I could be wrong though I have been before.

The switch can fail on its own. You never mentioned that an idiot was playing with your electrical system. Sounds like you need someone to re-check that work.

As long as they're legitimate F&F's and the price is appropriate, go for it. Use common sense. Those things around $20 each.

I don't think so. Pretty sure the only difference is in suspension, the engine block, and transmission. It's possible I guess. Maybe ask ogsmakdade.

the look legit to me, just about 150 cheaper than anywhere else. Just to clarify you meant $200 each right?

it does cool the atts, just like it cools the auto trans. Hence the reason why the SH and ludes w/ auto trans share the same radiator. the sizing is exactly the same as the radiator in the base 5sp cars. The only difference are the bungs for more hoses to cool either the atts or trans.

I'm sorry, I meant to say don't get the ones for $20. Basically saying use price comparison and if they look too good to be true, they are.

I believe og answered this, but I'm pretty sure the only difference would be extra bungs for auto/manual since autos have a transmission cooler. My new radiator has bungs for an auto transmission, but I have a standard, so I just unscrewed the fittings and saved them for something later. The two tanks aren't connect; at least on my radiator.
