Transmission Question

So my tranny recently started actin up again, i was driving back from school, when all of a sudden my clutch pedal became pretty stiff and the shifter as well, it still went into gear but it was really difficult to do so,

I parked my car at home and called it a day for her, next day, the clutch pedal seemed to return to normal pressure, but it was/is almost impossible to put into 1st unless the car is rolling, and every other gear goes in once the RPM's match.

The tranny is also making a strange, almost grinding noise when in neutral, and the clutch isnt completely disengaging, SO....... would anyone possibly have an answer to my dillema? it seems like it could be multiple problems, if so i might have to go for a rebuild.

SIDE NOTE: if I do go for a rebuild, any KNOXVILLE area luders konw of a good shop to get my car serviced at?

Thanks in advance guys/gals, happy holidays

Re: Transmission Question

Yeah sounds like your tranny is going out. I dunno exactly what it could be but I do know that rebuilding it is wayyyyyyyyy more expensive than just buying a used one.

You have any suggestions as to where to buy a used one from?
