Water in the trunk?

hey guys,
everytime it rains i get water in my trunk, i thought it was something like the trunk weather strip.
but it looks like the previous owner thought that too and glued another one on, [you can tell my the messy tar stuff underneath] i was wondering if anyway has any other ideas as to where the car might be leaking?

Have you checked to make sure the plugs are in the bottom of the trunk? I had the same problem and found that I was missing a couple of the rubber plugs.

It could be coming in from your taillights.
There is a foam padding that is in between your taillight(s) and the trunk itself where it sits. See if that's in okay condition.

spray the outside with a garden hose (don't flood your car out though!) and see if you can see any places of leakage.
