What do you think of these rims?

Hey guys,

just been surfing around for things to buy and happened to take a look at some rims for my stock Pearl white 99 Lude and came across these rims. they only come in 18's you guys think it may be too big or overdoing it?. i'm going to be working on suspension and handling first before i move to any engine mods and appearance but it doesn't hurt to have a heads up and do some research right?

feed back from you guys would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks in advance

Vert

P.S. they are the MENZARI - Viaggio Style Flat Black with Pearl White Face and White Pinstripe Wheels - they are also $884 with shipping

Re: What do you think of these rims?

If you want performance as far as handling you'll probably be better off with 16" or 17" idk my opinion 18's are too big, dont like those wheels, but its your ride if you like em then think about your options and buy em

not really a fan of the look, but it's your car so do what you want. I wouldn't suggest 18's unless you have a really good suspension setup.

yeah i agree, i think 18's are too big as well and i'm definitely more into handling than just looks. i'm more into the 6 spokes but the flat black and pearl white was attractive but i can always powder coat

Re: What do you think of these rims?

I agree…17's is about the size most lude owners go when getting new wheels. 18's are risky, and those, IMHO, are very…um…..Flashy. They look like they belong on a large sedan with blacked-out windows, an outrageously loud subwoofer, too large of tires, windows rolled down, all sorts of electronic gizmos, and going too fast. But again, this is YOUR car, so do with it what YOU want to. And OGS, I did not remember that you have 18" rims….thats impressive.

17" FTW. I like my 17"x7" with 215/40R17 tires. Perfect fitment with a little drop.

exact size on my tires (not sure my are x7 tho). Its a good first big exterior mod to do, even if you haven't dropped it.

hows that?

I have both 17's and 18's ... of course 18's ride little bit harder since they're with 35 tire profile, but you get used to them

Re: What do you think of these rims?

18" is too big for our cars... Leave 18's for the Evo X, STi, and Skyline GT-R. 17" or nothing. Well, 17x10" +10 or nothing. Plus those wheels look cheap.

No, I don't know what you mean. Get the RSX wheels if funds are a little low; they'll look a lot nicer than some Autozone wheels.

18's are gaudy as ****! Your car will look like a monster truck, not to mention the tires themselves are substantially more expensive. It's your car though, do what you want.

Ce 28's are acceptable haha, I'm saying that style wheel is a little much, and being an 18'' just exaggerates the idea.

I will NEVER hate volks! Haha

Re: What do you think of these rims?

18's... When I want to size down from 17's to 16's. Yeah, you gotta stop looking through "Source" for your rims. Ride suffers in any condition less than racetrack smooth roads.

Serious, I like 18's, but it's carpet queen status, I know OGGS is sneaking some ITRS for people that wanna run his lude, but for now those 18's are just show.rofl

Re: What do you think of these rims?

They look like they belong to a large blacked-out windows on cars, even loud subwoofer, large tires, the windows rolled down, all the various electronic gadgets, going too fast. However, this is your car, so you want to do with it.
