Skunk2 cams: Pro's stage 1 or Tuner's stage 2

OK heres "problem":

Im planning to order Skunk2 cams, and after doing little bit research about this thing Im not sure what to get anymore.

Skunk2's
Tuner Series Camshafts Stage 2
or
Pro Series Camshafts Pro 1+

The thing is; I have stock compression with Skunk2 Tuner Series Valve springs and Titanium retainers (adjustable cam gears of course).
Skunk2 recommends to get Pro series valve springs with Pro Series Cams but some people say that because those cams are so closely almost the same you can run Pro1's with Tuner valve springs. Then other people say that tuning is more difficult with those Pro's, but since Im not doing it myself does it matter, let the professionals handle it?

But how does that stock compression ration effect my choice between those?
My car is for street and I use it daily.

Or does it matter at all which ones I order? Tuner series have smaller "recommend"-section, though..and Skunk2 advertises that "retain your factory idle and low-speed emissions" but cant you pass those emissions with Pro1's when there arent that much difference.

this thing is driving me crazy

Thanks for the help if someone would know something about this thing.

Re: Skunk2 cams: Pro's stage 1 or Tuner's stage 2

If I'm running stock compression I'd go with the pro1

Re: Skunk2 cams: Pro's stage 1 or Tuner's stage 2

related to this:

what would be best and still safe place to put rev limit?

those cams are supposed to "make power" all way to 9000rpm..
how high I can rev safely with aftermarket valve train (retainers and springs) and stock bottom (and stock valves/compression)?

Re: Skunk2 cams: Pro's stage 1 or Tuner's stage 2

If you go up to 9-10K RPM with your built head and you still running stock rod bolts & bearings, you'll spun a rod bearing.

If you want to rev high with a built head, get the bottomend balanced out with ARP rod bolts and ACL or King Rod & Main Bearings.

so was the answer "under 9000rpm", like ~8500?
I dont want to brake anything, but since all the power is up there... just wondering what is still safe

Re: Skunk2 cams: Pro's stage 1 or Tuner's stage 2

If you're going to put this head together yourself, you need to do some more research. You should be looking at NA builds on here, honda tech, preludepower, etc. After you've done so, you shouldn't have many questions.

If you don't plan on doing the work yourself, you should be discussing a "build" with a shop that's going to do the work. I wouldn't take the word of some guys on the internet that have read a couple of build threads and talking out of their asses.

the problem is that the shop isnt specialized in honda's... I bet that head with upgraded valvetrain can take more than bottom but what is stock bottoms limit
you guys have more preludes there than what people here does.

Re: Skunk2 cams: Pro's stage 1 or Tuner's stage 2

how many miles or KM's are on your motor?

the problem is with sufficient oiling in the bottom end. Get an oil pressure gauge and keep an eye on it. I wouldn't rev much past stock if I were you.
