cant get my tps calibrated

im back probing the red, middle wire with a paper clip as far as it will go and putting the red probe on it. i then put the black prob on the black battery terminal for a ground.

i then set the multimeter voltage to 20 Vdc

when i turn the ignition on im only getting 0 volts

when i connect it to the outer two i get about 4.8 which i think is normal

im almost positive im hitting the terminal on the sensor with the paper clip i just dont understand and im getting really frustrated

earlier when i started i randomly heard an electronic buzzing noise and a small click could this have something to do with it?
