Re: 4th gen door problem

Stuck as in the latch doesn't disengage, or stuck because the door frame is filthy and the seal is sticking to it? I've had the latter happen (hangs head), and it just takes a good shove from the inside.

Re: 4th gen door problem

Hmm Well if its the latch that doesnt want to disengage quite possibly might have to take door panel off and reach the lock mechanism on the inside and pull the lever back manually, the lever could possibly be reached with a jimmy tool also, not sure.. W.e you do dont resort to drilling anything, There is usually always another way to safely open her without drilling and or breaking things just dont get mad and be hasty with it.

Re: 4th gen door problem

It happen to me once, and I end up removing the screw of the handle, the other that is used to when you pull the door, and the one on the lower back which you should be able to reach it with a philips screwdriver with no problem, then just push up just a little so you can reach in and do it manually

Re: 4th gen door problem

The handle could have came off of the door latch. Long slim metal line with a L hook on it attaches to the door handle and moves left to right to unlock and lock the door. Usually held in by a small plastic ring and a little clip. When the handle is off you should see a metal line. lettme know

Re: 4th gen door problem

Hmmm, Did anything get shut in the door? I know it sounds stupid but my sisters seatbelt got jammed in the door on her accord. Have you tried pushing in on the door and pulling the latch than pulling out?

Re: 4th gen door problem

1) Make sure the window is all the way up (absolutely necessary)
2) Unscrew and remove the following 3 screws (philips screw driver):

3)Remove the two things you just remove the screws from

4)If you need to move the seat all the way back and recline itall the way do it (may be take the seat out for more space), and pull the panel towards you to unclip it (there are like 3 or 4 clips) and push it up just a little bit to clear the part that holds from the panel to the door

5)Pull the panel towards you so you can get your hand in there

6)You will have to reach in there and try to push down on it with a bit of force to open it

7)You may want to check if that little aluminum bar, it might be loose
