gauge cluster questions

i have an extra one and its tinted black whats the difference between that one and the one thats in my car thats not tinted is that the only thing different

The tinted one is the electroluminescent cluster...looks a lot better

the wiring is different couldn't wire it up and don't know how to convert so i got side tracked and broke something else

doesn't that always happen. lol Anyhow there's stickies out there on how to do this. :) I had the 94+EL Gauge on one of my Pre Pre's, but I always liked the one 93' I had. To each there own. Some like it before 94 and some like it there on after =)

The wiring for the EL gauges (94-96 Si, and VTEC models) are slightly different. In order for them to work in the 92-93 models and the 94+ S models, you'd need the inverter box for the cluster. It's optional, but you can get the dash harness from the 94-96 models and just swap it out for the gauges to work. If not, you'd have to cut and splice wires at the cluster.
