Which catalytic converter?

So I ordered Megan racing headers and catback exhaust for my 5th gen. I need to put a cat on it but don't know which is a good choice or know which one will fit. Help please!

Re: Which catalytic converter?

I`ved heard the magna flow cat converter is good. That or junk yard or autozone. (Autozone also sells the magna flow)

Re: Which catalytic converter?

Having a cat on your car won't make it sound ricey. If anything it improves the sound by silencing the high pitch of the exhaust that you would have with a testpipe.

Standard size Magnaflow replacements are just like stock. If you get a larger size to accommodate for a larger exhaust you wont have any issues there.

Re: Which catalytic converter?

I know im late with this coz this thread is posted a year ago but I had the carsound and magnaflow catcons and i've noticed gains right away when i put one on. It helps the low to mid end range. On the other hand my exhaust sounds a lot better and the lag on low end is gone!As for the installation you can have the manual on how to replace catalytic converter on downloadable versions.
