Need new headlights!

I'm looking to get new headlights for my lude. Retrofits would be nice but I don't have the $$$ for it but I need headlights; prefferably witih projectors. The depo replicas are nice but I can't throw hid's in there because they are not projectors and I don't want to spend the extra $$$ later to have retros put in.
I know the majority here feel partial towards the depo projectors but I would like some advice/opinions on which one would not look dorky and out of place on my car. I have a green lude also and would like to know if chrome or black housing would look better from experience or what you've seen on other ludes?

Re: Need new headlights!

What's wrong with your current headlights?

if it's the typical fade - just clean them up and buy a plug-n-play hid kit...

Or do the same with an OEM replacement depo set.

If you go with the aftermarket projector headlights, be warned that they don't last long. Either the "halo" rings burn out or the other bulbs burn out, all around they just don't last for long at all.

I had a friend buff out my original factory's. One is okay, the other one is faded again. The reason I opted out of the replica depos is because they don't have projectors for the hid's.

Re: Need new headlights!

Buff the new headlights or wetsand and use a restore kit - then give them a few coats of clearcoat. That will hold up much better.
