Moisture in right headlight...

I installed my JDM headlights myself about two months back and I noticed that everytime it rains or specifically when rain evaporates from heated concrete, heavy amounts of moisture build up in just my driver's side headlight causing it to oxidate later on. Before this problem gets anymore severe, I want to find a way to fix this. I'm not sure if I have those little black angular rubber things on them but, I have high temp HID's and can't seal the holes completely. Anyone help would be appreciated, Thanks...

Your best bet is to see if you have the rubber things on there, also if you had to cut a hole in the rubber to run the wires put some silicone around the there and that should stop it

like miz said. make sure those gaskets are on there. If they are you might need to re-seal the headlights. You'll have to heat them up in the oven to get them apart, remove the old adhesive, the use silicone to reseal them. word.

I haven't done anything to customize the actual light assembly, there are no holes mad by me, the bulbs fit perfectly...The problem is that I think the "gaskets" that cover the holes are missing so it's easier for moisture to get in. Does anyone have any clue as to where I can get some of these...In the mean time I need to clean that headlight, although it's a b1tch to take out and probably even worse to reseal.

Re: Moisture in right headlight...

I'm gonna piggyback on this thread here (and possibly revive it) and say I have noticed moisture in my rear driver's side tail light. I know how to seal it up, but how does one remove the water first?

should i just pull the light and aim a heat gun in one of the bulb holes for a few minutes or what?
