For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Just received my full set of Koni Yellows and Ground Control coilovers...but Ground Control thought posting which springs are the fronts/rears was unimportant So my question for any 4th/5th gen running these sleeves, are the 0800.250.0400 the fronts or the GC200.64.44 springs? Of course their office is closed on weekends...

UPDATE:
To clear things up for anyone else about to purchase the Ground control coilover sleeves...
*0800.250.0400 Front
*GC200.64.44 Rear

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Sorry to hear that, Monday is around the corner. Didn't the instructions come with the sleeves? I had them for my 89 prelude, and the fit was oem. Looked like it belonged. The best answer is the proportion of sleeve to inner tube. If the body is stubby, put the stubby sleeve on those shocks. The springs are not supposed to be longer than the sleeve either. Rule of thumb, the bigger set always goes upfront.

It should never have any space to move or sway on the shock. Thought you had these by now LOL! Sorry, can't be any more help.

For the time being I put the shorter stiffer springs up front and the longer softer ones in the rear...it seems right to me haha. I'll call them up Monday anyway just to make sure.

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Definitely let us know, lots of new 4th gen owners that can benefit from this thread. GC won me over on my 89 si 4WS, would of loved doing it on my 94.

I even called them up and asked if they could make a kit for my 2004 GTO. They're like. "Stop calling here or the police will get involved!" ROFL

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Ummm... My GC sleeves were all the exact same length so I could swap them any time. I have 450lbs in the rear 400lbs in the front right now but you could swap them no problems since they're all the same length. IDK why yours would be different lengths?

I didn't write that very well, the springs with the shorter/longer adjustable sleeves. The springs are all the same length

What? You definitely have to call now. So damn complicated without the instructions!

Oh you're talking about the sleeves themselves, I got you now. Long goes in the back bud.

PS - A little piece of advice: Use some sort of anti-seize product on the threads on the sleeves or they will be nearly ****ing impossible to adjust when you want to. The first time I went to change my ride height (after the initial install), it should've taken me about 15 minutes but ended up taking me about 4 hours because all 4 corners were seized as ****.

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Best use brake caliper grease on the threads, smells like hell, but will keep thoseguys smooth as day one. Can't remember the clear chain grease name, but that gets sticky if not in constant motion... Lithium grease is it?

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Only 4.4Kg in the rear? That is kinda low for the rear to be using in auto-x. Expect quite a bit of under steer.

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Elude you ordered the exact same spring rates as me...I think.

400lbs front 450 rear?

I can't remember exactly what my springs say (or how to decode those numbers either).

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

Spring rate: the amount of force needed to compress a spring a distance. So for example a 400lbs/in spring, it will take 400 pounds to compress the spring 1 inch, but it will take 800lbs to compress the same spring 2 inches, if it is a not a progressive spring.

0800.250.0400 Front - 8.00 inches tall, 2.5 inch coil diameter, 400lbs/inch of spring rate.
GC200.64.44 Rear - 200mm tall, 64mm diameter, 4.4kg/mm of spring rate.
4.4kg/mm = ~250lbs/inch.

GC gave me 200lb springs for my CRX, those went back into the box and 400lbs were put on.
You can buy different rates and size of springs and swap them in. Just have to do some calculation of how much travel you need. A rally car for example needs a large amount of travel and a soft spring rate, so they use a tall soft spring.
Also don't forget about motion ratio of the suspension. The spring rate is what the spring sees not the tire. The lower control arms act like a lever. Thus why keeping a proper suspension geometry is important. This is why the Realtime Acura Race team had to run 3000lb/inch rear springs, yes that is not a typo, they used 3000lbs/inch spring in the rear of the RSX to make the car acutely rotate, since Honda made such a crappy design of the suspension.

Oh wow that's not that stiff at all. I think that's what they give you if you don't request specific spring rates.

Re: For those with Ground Control sleeves, which are Front/Rear?

I need some sticky tires and a rear sway bar and I'll be good to go for autox.

The only problem is finding an event around here lol.

What rear sway do you run Elude?

I actually have the Tanabe front and rear sway bar set on mine. The rear is 25.4mm (1in).

Whoa! 3000lbs! Oops. Gotta keep those wheels planted!

Dwend that would explain the crazy travel my 1989 prelude had at slow speeds. I bought my setup for 100.00, never looked up the rates, still raw back then. At 60+ mph, hold onto your hats, 5-15mph awful.
