Could my car be chipped

I bought the car from an old man who never drove it and had no idea what some mexicans did to it, but the car has no rev limiter and i recently bypased the knock sensor and ever sense when i take off around 2000 rpm my rpm drops down to like 700 or 800 rpm and the car acts lts about to die and then shoots back up once it gets backup to about 2000, i dont know if there related but someone said i could have messed with the tune when i reset the ecu. But i really want to find out if it is chipped or if it is the stock ecu

Re: Could my car be chipped

I don't think it is chipped because you cannot chip An OBD2 ECU. the only way it could be is chipped is if it has an OBD1 ECU with a step down. TO check what kind of ECU you have you can refer to this. ECU Identification - Team Integra Forums - Team Integra
or maybe even ECU Identification
now remember all honda cars after 1995 have an OBD2 ECU
