JDM fogs... interior wiring issues

I've bought and installed my JDM fog lights... all works great EXCEPT the fact that i had to disconnect 2 plugs to my alarm. :( On the interior wiring, the 2 brown plugs that hook up to the fuse box (#2 and #5 plug) already had a white wire in the #5 spot and a red wire in the #2 spot. Does anyone know where i can re-route those wires to or a place that I can re-route the fog lights? I've been swapping them out whenever I'm done driving and need to set my alarm. There has to be a better way. Grrrrr!

Re: JDM fogs... interior wiring issues

While this doesn’t help at all, my v2’s came with a bad interior relay so I just bypassed the harness and built my own fused switch, using the button from the stock v2 harness. For this, I used #5 and I’m assuming that’s the plug your after for 24/7 operation. IIRC 1 & 2 are only powered when the parking lights or headlights are on. If you’re good with wiring, I would just build a custom interior harness like I did and use plug #2, granted you’ll have to have the parking lights on in order to switch your fogs on, but it’s better than nothing.

On a side note, the interior and exterior harnesses that come with the v2’s are a joke.
