automatic AC
Greetings everyone
I'm moving from my Honda Accord gen7 to my prelude 5G tomorow:)))) (and yes i'm supremely happy) the only thing I would like to adapt in my prelude, since I will NOT modify it (I like the confort factor), an auto AC would really be a plus, especially where I live, tropical island I mean. Was it ever done?I admit I'm a newbee when it comes to that, but if it was done, I guess it can be re done. Deanorth |

Re: automatic AC
Automatic climate control was available in the Japanese and Australian Preludes. From what I understand it is expensive and time consuming to do the switch but probably worth it in your climate.

Re: automatic AC
Wait for ogsmackdade to chime in - he's done the conversion and it involved over a week with the dash out if I remember correctly.
The issue is not so much the unit itself (which can be picked up on evilBay for sub-US$100 prices) but the additional sensors and such that the digital climate control requires. And as somebody who owns a car factory fitted with the part, you're not missing out on much. Unless you're incredibly lazy and would set it to 22degrees once and leave it, (a job that the unit is not particularly good at) there is not much difference to the regular unit.
