Opinions please?

So I just bought my 97 prelude ( black )

And it's totally stock, so i'm wondering, what should I do to make it look nice/sound nice/run nice?

I'm looking for engine upgrades ( not a new engine but air intake, headers etc. )
Also body kit you guys like maybe?
Spoiler different?
Interior mods?
I'm going to get some neon lights, ( the colour of my car is going to be black and purple)
HID conversion? Blacked out rear lights?
Let me know what you guys think, if you could show some good brands, good items, etc, I'd appreciate it alot!

IMO for the lip kits, i love the oem ones, but thats ust personal preferance. you should also look into the following:
wings west lip kit
mugen lips/bumpers
type s lips
there are more
i would keep the stock sh spoiler, if yours is an sh. otherwise you can order one off h&a
if you want neon.... allright not my decision.
i would definately get hid's. either 6000k, or 8000k. nothing over 8000k though.
tail lights are also just personal preferance. here's a pic of mine that are blacked out

btw 100'th post! :D

Re: Opinions please?

Lower the car. Put some S2k Ap1 wheels on it. EOM lip kit or a Mugen replica kit, I wouldn't do an under glow kit. I think its to ricey. Yes do an HID kit. Maybe even look into a head light conversion hytec replica, kteller 3in exhaust piping with a vibrant muffler. A nice shiny intake.... thats just a few suggestions

Go with what you like... just remember its your car and your money! dont just buy a bodykit thats popular with everyone else. make the car reflect your personality and you wont ever wanna leave the driverseat. (Haters gon' hate) but if your happy who cares?

Which bodykit is actually popular? Just messin' around mang.

OP: Definitely go for a lip kit rather than a bodykit, there is a big difference between the two.
Bodykits generally are fiberglass, don't fit well and crack a lot of the time. Big waste of money IMO.
Lip kits are generally OEM replicas, subtle, and sleek. They're also made of polyurethane which is much more durable.
But if you really want a bodykit don't let myself nor anyone else change your mind.

Post up some pics man!

Re: Opinions please?

true, but since he said bodykit... well (shudder) I figured he was replacing his OEM stuff. eek. but like I said, hes gotta make the car his so whatever floats his boat. ;) and who knows? maybe he might get some boss lookin **** at the end of the day. anyways, a lip kit was the road i took, along with a nice healthy drop in ride height.

Re: Opinions please?

Intake - Type-S w/ K&N filter
Header - Hytech replica
Don't know much for body kits aside from the Mugen one (if you even want to count that). You can never go wrong with the OEM kit.
I like the OE SH spoiler, mugen is alright too
For interior I'd do some nice leather seats, trim kit, and some new boots. Redlinegoods.com has some good stuff.

Re: Opinions please?

Well that actually helped alot :P What other engine mods I could do to make it better? That isn't over the edge expensive,
what do strut bars do? Worth buying?
and everyone's talking about lowering, well considering it's regular height, and i hit the ground alreaady, I think lowering wouldn't be such a good idea Lol,
But yeah, other engine mods? Interior mods? Thanks guys!

The rice cannon sounds comes out of a 4cyl engines exhaust so keeping the exhaust quite is the way to go. If you are looking for a more aggressive sound ,you should keep in mind that on a VTEC car the good sounds come out of its intake. You can boost the volume of the intake right now at no financial cost to you by disabling its intake muffler. That is done by plugging the passage where air goes to the resonator box below the air filter box. You just need to temporally remove the funnel that sits under the air filter element and stuff a rag or something way down at the hole at the bottom of the air passage where the air intake tubing makes a bend into the fender.Plugging that hole will give your car a more aggressive sound while not screwing up its intake tunning including the operation of the valve at the input to the air intake thats controlled by the ecu thats important for power, throttle response and fuel economy.
