My cat is 2", my DC header is 2.5"
I don't know it will still work as normal or not?

you should dump the DC header, it's trash. however, it'll work fine with the 2" exhaust but i'd bump it up to a 2.5" eventually since it's a better all around base.

http://www.preludezone.com/diy-engin...ild-n-h22.html <---helps a lot so you dont buy trash parts. then again to each his own.

You're full of sh*t.

OP: Is your header the HHC5015 (CARB compliant model, 3 bolt flange for cat converter) or the HHC5029 (JDM style with 2 bolt flange w/donut gasket)? If it's the 5029 and you're running an aftermarket exhaust, I would say yes. On stock exhaust, you're just pissing in the wind.

If you have the 5015, then you're f*cked either way.

Wait what? The HHC5029 has the 3 bolt flange? I thought it came with the same type of flange that comes on the Hytech and all it's replicas. I guess that makes the decision to get the 5029 that much easier lol. I hate this hytech replica bullsh*t header.

In any case, go with a bigger cat. Magnaflow makes a good metal core high flow cat. You can get em around $90. I take it you have an aftermarket exhaust as well?

Get a test pipe and a universal magnaflow metal core and have it welded in the test pipe.

Re: I have a DC header with 2.5 Collector, should I change my cat to 2.5" too?

or just delete cat all together ...
i have done several dc header to 2.5 collector to catback exhausts. if you won't pass inspcection...then get high flow cat... but i can promise you if you don't run a cat you can still not have a cel and run normal. huge high end difference with the collector mod huh?

imo dc headers aren't the best headers... i have repaired them several times.. they always crack on the cylinder 3 runner.

Means the header pipe coming out of cylinder number 3 tends to crack, due to shoddy craftsmanship and/or inferior materials.

I never had any problems with DC headers, but the CRX I got a while back had the number 4 cylinder crack at the flange.

says who? there are tons of people that would agree that, in the long run, DC is crap compared to say a hytech replica that's custom built for your model. and if you don't know if you're gonna boost or n.a then 2.5'' should be fine, ****s better than some fist f*cking fat can.
